The Klondyke Group, which manages Klondyke & Strikes Garden Centres, have made a kind donation of £420.81 to the innovative work of Funding Neuro. This money was raised through a series of Dress Down days and raffles enjoyed by the staff at The Klondyke Group’s head office in Polmont. The donation was kindly arranged by Klondyke finance director Sharon Allan. Visitors to the HTA National Plant Show, sponsored by Hortipak, and Nursery Supply Show which took place this week at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire voted for their most inspiring retails stands and concepts at the events. Bernard Tickner has been awarded an MBE in Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Honours. The award has been given in recognition for services to wildlife conservation and horticulture, relating to his voluntary conservation work in Suffolk and for his work at Fullers Mill Garden in West Stow. The announcement coincides with the launch of his biography, A Scratch in the Soil, on 20 June, in which Bernard looks back on a varied life. One of the UK’s leading nurseries will be launching its 2018 promotional catalogue at the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) National Plant Show this month (June, 2017). Wyevale Nurseries’ new catalogue will include 33 new plant promotions and will be available to collect at the plant show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire on June 20 and 21.
