With a curved and a venlo greenhouse, almost 1,700m² of additional covered sales space will be created. Through this expansion, shopping is very convenient for customers. The garden plants are covered by the new venlo greenhouse. In the curved greenhouse of the type HighLight additional sales space will be realised for various product groups. A family-run garden centre in Dartford has defended the use of reindeer in its Santa’s grotto after a campaigner accused them of animal cruelty. Hawley Garden Centre, in the village of Hawley, will once again have its resident reindeer Dancer and Dazzler at the annual grotto from November 18. But a petition, started by Rob De Silva, has called for the centre to stop “exploiting reindeer” this Christmas. It was part of wider planning permission, which lapsed in 2012, but had already seen construction of Framfield House Surgery and Clarkson Court retirement flats.
