The HTA has announced the date and location of this year’s Catering Conference – June the 7th and 8th, at the Belfry near Sutton Coldfield.
A Horticultural Trades Association spokesperson said: “The conference is a proven milestone industry event that provides a real focus for garden centre catering operators. The aim is to bring together garden centre owners and managers, catering managers and supervisors alongside industry specialists.”
“Keynote speaker on day one will be Fred Sirieix, who will focus on the ‘Art of Service’. He is the general manager at Galvin at Windows, the Michelin-starred restaurant on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane. He appeared with Michel Roux Jr in the BBC2 series ‘Michel Roux’s Service’.”
Speakers will also include Anthony Hester, head of restaurants at Dobbies, and Melanie Sewell, catering director at Fron Goch Garden Centre. The panel sessions on both days will be chaired by Boyd Douglas-Davies, CEO of Hillview Garden Centres Ltd.
