The Garden Centre Association (GCA) has announced that it signed up some new garden centre members last month (June, 2014).
Approved as new full members at the body’s recent Executive Committee meeting, following successful inspections, were Thetford Garden Centre, Pacific Nurseries and Thirsk Garden Centre.
Iain Wylie, GCA Chief Executive, explained: “We also approved Millbrook, Staplehurst and Creative Gardens, Galgorm Castle, which are additional sites or ‘subsidiary’ members for existing GCA members.
“We would like to welcome all our new members on board and look forward to working with them.”
The GCA represents nearly 200 garden centres nationwide. Through sharing information and its inspection programme, the organisation helps members to achieve high standards in customer service, plant quality and reliability.
Lucy Nixon, Director of Thetford Garden Centre, said: “We are delighted to be a member of the GCA. We believe it will help elevate us to the next level in terms of overall standards.
“As a member, our customers can be assured that we are committed to providing excellent levels of service and offering them quality plants. The whole team here are really proud to be a part of the GCA.”
