Plant Heritage, the leading cultivated plant conservation charity, is delighted to be working with specialist tour operator, ECT Travel, on the launch of a number of horticultural travel opportunities. Exclusive discounts are offered to members of Plant Heritage and the charity receives a donation for every booking made.
Garden tour destinations include Singapore, Switzerland, France and the UK.
By way of an extra special offer, members of Plant Heritage who book before 14 December 2015 will receive a discount of £300 per person off the new Switzerland alpine horticultural tour in June 2016. The tour is ideal for any alpine plant enthusiast.
The tour begins in Wengen, an alpine village located at the foot of the magnificent Jungfrau Mountain Range in the Bernese Oberland which is accessed by rail rather than road. Travelling by cable car, scenic rail journeys, boat and on foot, you will see tens of alpine flower varieties such as Alpine Snowbell, Anemone, Golden Cinquefoil, Milkwort and many more besides.
Sarah Quarterman, chief executive of Plant Heritage, said: “Specialist tours are an excellent way to ensure you visit gardens that are off the beaten track. I am delighted that ECT Travel has chosen to support the plant conservation work we do in the UK and Ireland through making a donation to Plant Heritage for every person who chooses to book a holiday with them.”
