Vision Commercial Kitchens were proud to be the headline partner at the HTA Catering Conference, which took place this week at The Belfry hotel in the Midlands.
The conference included a number of informative talks and workshops, reflecting how significantly catering has grown within garden centre cafes and restaurants.
The conference programme included presentations from garden centres running both small and large catering operations. However despite the differences in scale, there were obvious similarities in terms of being passionate about catering offers and creating an inviting ambience for customers.
A company spokesperson said: ‘Vision enjoyed talking to previous clients about their catering operations as well as meeting other operators and discussing their plans for the future. It was obvious from the conference talks that the way in which garden centre cafes and restaurants are perceived has significantly changed and that many garden centre eateries have become destination venues that rival the high street.
‘A successful catering operation provides many opportunities for garden centres by maximising revenue and allowing the establishment to become a food and drink destination as well as a gardening.’
