  • Lawn Academy extra spaces available

The Westland Lawn Academy has added extra spaces to its training sessions due to demand from the garden centre industry.

At Glee, Westland announced a five-date tour of the UK and Ireland offering free lawncare training sessions, starting in Peterborough on 14 January 2016 and ending in Dublin on 24 February 2016.

The academy will follow the consumer journey from product evaluation to problem solving and merchandising guidance. It aims to help participants speak confidently to shoppers and offer clear and accurate lawn guidance and solutions.

Daniela Constantine, brand manager for lawncare at Westland, said: ?We?re delighted by the response, as this goes to show just how much this type of training is wanted by the industry.

?We believe that business partnership and garden centre staff are key to lawncare participation. The right customer engagement can really affect your turnover at the point of sale.

Training sessions will be held in the following locations:

    • Peterborough ? 14 January
    • Taunton ? 21 January
    • Preston ? 28 January (this session is now full)
    • Edinburgh ? 16 February
    • Dublin ? 24 February

The closing date for registrations is 30 November. To book your place, sign up online at http://trade.gardenhealth.com/ or email lawnacademy@westlandhorticulture.com
