  • Plans for rebuild of fire-hit garden centre get go-ahead

Cardiff Council planners have approved the application for the rebuild of Wyevale garden centre, Blooms at St Mellons.

The garden centre has been closed for nearly a year, after a fire took hold on November 20, 2013. The fire, which took five hours to get under control, caused the destruction of the garden centre?s main buildings. The destruction totalled 70% of the site.

Plans for the new buildings are under way, and are hoped to be of a similar style to the previous main buildings.
